Robert Sr. has received the Chrysler "Pacemakers Top 100 Club Award" for several years. In 1971 Robert Sr. moved his family to Texas after selling his automobile interests to Henry and David Billion. David and his son are still in business today. Robert Dad and his family moved to Houston and operated Midtown Chrysler Plymouth for a year until the opening of Katy Road Chrysler Plymouth, Chrysler's flagship plant. In 1975, the Ryan family sold to the Benson family and returned to the Midwest, where most of the 14 children and 22 grandchildren reside today.
