He started as a garage for a car in the village of Lone Pine, with a Ford F100 pickup from 1963. His son, Scott, started working with him while he was still in high school. The two continued to grow the business, focusing on fast, quality service. In 2001 Scott took over the business. Scott has expanded its business to include high performance tires and custom wheels. He also expanded the company's service capabilities by investing in a Mini-OTR service truck to provide services to larger agricultural and off-road vehicles. Briggs Tire Service continues to be a family business when Sean Briggs joined the company in the summer of 2007. He represents the 3rd generation of the Briggs family to continue the tradition of providing quality service to Briggs Tire Service customers. Briggs Tire Service, LLC continues to expand its product and service lines. In addition to selling and servicing tires for personal vehicles, the company sells tires and accessories for many applications, including the agriculture, construction and trucking industries. Trained technicians continue to provide reliable service, both in their Lone Pine workshop and on site. Briggs Tire Service now has five service trucks capable of meeting a variety of tire service needs. They specialize in 24 hour emergency road service. In 2017, Briggs Tire Service began a major construction project, replacing the old garage with a new, state-of-the-art tire store. With two oversized bays, they can now also service semi-trailers, tankers, three-axle trucks, trailers and even motorhomes inside the building. They also have an updated waiting area, which makes it much more comfortable for customers while they wait.
