Founded in 2012, Hayasa Floo********* ers, Levon and Hakob Karapetyans. Growing up in a family of renown architectural millworkers who had a leading reputation for over 3 generations, the brothers were introduced to the wood craft at a very early age. However, growing up, they did not show much interest towards the craft. Only after moving to the United States at the age of 19, Levon discovers his connection with wood. Upon graduating from State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia, Levon crosses the Atlantic in the search of a better shelter for his artistic spirit. After working a couple of years in the flooring industry, he falls in love with the craft and fully dedicates himself to mastering the intricacies of the profession. Consequently, the brothers found their own company in 2012. As a co-founder, Hakob has been involved in all aspects of operating the business – everything from administrative work to labor to operations to acquisition of new clients and partners. However, Hakob’s story is slightly different. After a couple of years from founding, when the company was put on a stable growth trajectory, Hakob decides to go back to school and receive a degree in business. Upon graduating from the University of California, Haas School of Business, in 2016, Hakob returns to the family business to spearhead the business development efforts of the company. Initially focusing on simple residential projects, the brothers eventually build a team of dedicated professionals able to complete projects of any size and complexity. Our team eventually grows to 18 full time employees. Today, although we work on commercial projects too, our main focus still remains residential structures. Contrary to what we started with, our primary focus is on high-end, custom projects, projects that defy imagination and push us out of our comfort zone. One of our main strengths is our ability to customize the color of the finish. As a painter plays with colors on a canvas, the same way we play with colors on wood to achieve the desired color for our clients. For us, our craft is a form of art, it’s life, it is everything.
