The father and son team of Abe and Scott Shnay is currently developing over $500 million of projects including 1228 Madison Avenue, The Parker West (214 West 2nd Street) and 547 West 47th Street - The West. SK recently completed 363 Lafayette Street, Corte (21-30 44th Drive - Long Island City) and The Lindley (591 Third Avenue). Additional projects in New York City, the Hudson Valley and Newark, NJ are in pre-development. Scott has 15 years of experience acqui********* oughout the New York metropolitan area. He has been responsible for nearly 2.5 million square feet of development valued at over $2 Billion. Scott graduated with a B.A. in Public Policy (Urban Planning/History of Architecture) from Trinity College in 2001. He graduated from the Horace Mann School in 1997. Abe has been in real estate development, management and construction for over 50 years. Prior to the formation of SK, he privately developed The Urban Glass House (330 Spring Street), The Dance Building (219 West 19th Street – home to the Dance Theater Workshop) and The Theory Building (40 Gansevoort Street). In addition, Abe has built and still owns or has a controlling interest in over 1,000 residential rental units and multiple commercial / retail properties throughout the New York metropolitan area. The apartment complexes are subsidized under the federal government’s Section-8 Program and have long-term rental contracts. He has also built and sold over 100 single-family homes and entitled various sites in Staten Island and Queens including a 400-unit site in Astoria and a 220-unit site in Forest Hills.
